Lebara is a prepaid brand on the Vodafone network built for one job: calling other countries without thinking about the cost. Every plan includes unlimited standard international calls and texts to at least 35 destinations. If that's your situation, the rest of the market's international add-ons look expensive by comparison.

Every plan includes unlimited standard national calls and texts and eSIM support. The $30 plan is capped at 150Mbps and the $50 at 200Mbps.
Read the middle column as a joining bonus, not a plan feature. It runs for three recharges and then the allowance drops to the ongoing figure permanently. Lebara was also running introductory pricing when we checked in August 2026, $11 for the first 28 days on the $30 plan and $15 on the $40, which is a first-recharge discount rather than an ongoing rate.

Coverage
Lebara's site says plainly that it uses the Vodafone network. It's a brand-licence partner rather than a Vodafone-owned brand, which changes the corporate structure and nothing about the towers. Coverage is a Vodafone SIM's coverage: good in the cities, workable in the larger regional centres, and the weakest of the three networks once you're properly out of them. The Vodafone network hub lists everyone on the same footprint.
If you're buying Lebara for international calling but you live somewhere Vodafone struggles, that's a genuine conflict, and no plan inclusion resolves it.
APN settings
Lebara doesn't publish APN settings anywhere on lebara.com.au that we could find, and we looked directly. Our Lebara APN page carries what we hold on record and says clearly that it isn't verified. Most modern handsets configure themselves when the SIM goes in. If yours doesn't, Lebara's support line is 1300 126 122, staffed Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and weekends 9am to 6pm, Sydney time.
The honest verdict
If you call overseas regularly, Lebara is one of the easiest recommendations on this site. Unlimited standard calls to 35 destinations for $25 a month is not something the mainstream brands match, and the step up to 50 destinations at $40 covers most of what a family spread across two countries would actually use.
If you don't call overseas, none of that is worth anything to you, and Lebara becomes an ordinary Vodafone-network prepaid brand with a joining bonus that expires. Kogan Mobile is the sharper pick on the same network for a purely domestic user. Judge this one on the international list, not the data column.
